In 1971, after five successful years as a wholesaler, Wendell proceeded with his long-range plan and established a lumber concentration yard in Hildebran, NC.
Founded on hard work, integrity and quality, the company has grown into a full service lumber manufacturer and distributor with multiple locations providing the finest Appalachian Hardwoods, Cypress and White Pine to customers worldwide.
Wendell has served tirelessly in our industry's trade organizations, also serving as President of the National Hardwood Lumber Association. His example has been followed by his daughter Kim Vollinger and son-in-law, Mark Vollinger who also continue to serve in our industry at many levels.
Wendell, the Cramer Family and a team of highly qualified industry experts continue the tradition of hard work, integrity and quality. We look forward to earning your business.
About "Limbo"
Originally drawn by June Myles, daughter of George Myles of Myles Lumber Company, the logo represents a lumber rule wearing a work cap and holding two boards that make up the words: "Cramer Quality Hardwoods."Wendell M. Cramer was so impressed with the look that "Limbo" quickly found a home with WM Cramer Lumber Company. "Limbo" to us serves as a tangible symbol of a pledge to deliver the very best to our customers.
